Amateur Status: Contestants must comply with USGA
rules for Amateur Status.
Age Limit: 50 and over (Super Senior’s Flight: 70
and over)
USGA Handicap Index Limit for all Flights: 22.3
USGA Handicap Index: May 1, 2008
Format: 3-Day Stroke Play
Starting Time: Rounds 1 & 2, tee times; Final
Round 8:30AM shotgun
Field Limit: Entries restricted to the 80 lowest
Handicaps on April 1, 2008. Entry Form accompanied by
entry fee must be received on or before April 20, 2008.
Please make checks payable to CWAC. If more than 80
entries of 22.3 and under Handicap Index are received,
the alternate list will be made up in the following
order: (a) lowest index, (b) earliest postmark. Ties
will be broken by blind draw.
Flights & Prizes: The Field will be divided into
Flights by handicaps using USGA handicap index posted on
May 1, 2008. The Champion will be the player with
aggregate low score of the Field. Ties will be broken
using Wednesday scorecards according to USGA
recommendations. In the event of a tie, there will be a
sudden death playoff. Ties for last place in Flights
will be awarded duplicate prizes. Note: All scores will
be posted by the Committee.
Pairings: Monday pairings will be by May 1, 2008
handicap. Tuesday & Wednesday pairings will be by gross
scores in Flights whenever possible.
Refunds: No refund of entry fee after April 20,
2008. Entry fee will be refunded if entry is not
accepted.
Golf carts: Mandatory – no caddies.
Other: Players arrange own practice round; cost:
$75.00 (includes cart) Sun 5/4 after 10AM; if 60+yrs;
Senior Rate: $68.00 may apply. Soft spikes are
mandatory. Range finders are not permitted.
