FORMAT: 36 holes of stroke qualifying, 18 holes a day, low 32 players will advance to single elimination match play. A tie for the last qualifier‘s place will be decided immediately after play on Tuesday, June 23rd with a hole-by-hole play-off.
ENTRY FEE: $250 includes greens fees, practice balls prior to each round and Players’ Dinner. Credit card will not be charged until registration closes and entry is accepted.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to girls with current Handicap Index not exceeding 9.4 as of the June 1, 2020 USGA Handicap Index Revision. Age: 13-18 years old. Players must have reached their 13th birthday by Monday, June 22, 2020 but not their 19th birthday on or before June 26, 2020. 9 to 12-year-olds considered at the discretion of the CWAC Committee.
FIELD SIZE: Field limited to the 84 players with the lowest June 1st Handicap Indexes for stroke play qualifying; following stroke play, the field will be cut to 32 for match play.
WAITLIST: All entries will be held on a waitlist until registration closes. 84 players with the lowest Handicap Index will be accepted into the Championship field. Should the number of entries exceed the field size, those not initially accepted into the field will remain on the waitlist ranked by June 1st Handicap Index and will be moved into the field in that order when an opening occurs.
SCHEDULE:
June 22: Round 1 stroke play; Players’ Dinner
June 23: Round 2 stroke play; play-off if necessary for 32nd spot for match play
June 24: AM Round of 32; PM Round of 16
June 25: AM Quarterfinals; PM Semifinals
June 26: AM Final Match; Awards Ceremony
TEES: CWAC Blue marker, yardage targeted to be approximately 6000 yds.
PRIZES AWARDED: Champion, Runner up, Semifinalist and Quarterfinalist and stroke play qualifying Medalist. This Championship offers points for the NCGA Player of the Year, World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), and American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) as well as listing on the Junior Scoreboard.
CADDIES: No caddies allowed.
PRACTICE ROUND: No practice rounds.
TRANSPORTATION: No carts allowed for players or spectators.
WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS: Online withdrawal can be done prior to the close of registration; after registration closes, please contact Jennifer Noonan, [email protected]. Withdrawals after the closing date will be refunded 50% of the entry fee, up to 2 business days prior to the Championship. No refunds will be given for a withdrawal within 2 business days of the start of the Championship.
